How to Manage Browser Notifications in Mweb WebMail

How to Manage Browser Notifications in Mweb WebMail

  • Mweb WebMail can use browser notifications to alert you when something important happens in your mailbox.

These notifications can let you know when:

    • A new email arrives in your inbox
    • A calendar reminder is triggered
    • A chat or instant message is received

When you click on the browser notification, WebMail will open the related email, calendar event, or chat message.

    Allowing Browser Notifications

If you are using WebMail in a new browser, or if you have not allowed notifications before, your browser may ask you to allow notifications.

    This prompt may appear when:

    • A new email is delivered to your inbox
    • A calendar reminder is triggered
    • A chat message is received

Select Allow when prompted if you want WebMail to show browser notifications.

Please note that if you clear your browser cookies or cache, WebMail may ask for notification permission again.

    Managing WebMail Notification Settings

You can choose which WebMail features should send browser notifications.

    To manage your notification settings:

    1. Log in to Mweb WebMail.
    2. Go to Settings.
    3. Select Account.
    4. Open the Notifications section.
    5. Choose which notifications you want to enable or disable.

    You can manage notifications for:

    • Calendar reminders
    • Chat messages
    • New emails

    Notifications When WebMail Is Closed

If WebMail is not open when a notification is received, the notification will appear on the Notification icon in the top-right corner of the WebMail interface the next time you open WebMail.

    Unblocking Browser Notifications

If you see the message “Browser notifications have been disabled in this browser” on the Notifications card, it means your browser is blocking notifications for WebMail.

You will need to unblock notifications for the WebMail site in your browser settings before you can enable or disable specific WebMail alerts.

Once browser notifications have been unblocked, return to WebMail and update your notification settings.

    Dismissing the Browser Notification Message

If you do not want to see the “Browser notifications have been disabled” message, click Dismiss.

This will hide the message until your browser cache is cleared or your cookies are deleted.
